Aura Video to Audio Converter is specifically aimed to extract audio from video. In addition, it can also convert between most popular audio formats. The program supports a wide range of input video and audio formats. What is more, besides supporting regular files as source, it also allows downloading video from the Internet, which lets you rip audio from downloaded files as well. Differently from other converters whose names suggest a given purpose, but then they can be used for many others, Aura Video to Audio Converter is absolutely restricted to the function its name describes as it only supports audio formats as output. Luckily, the range of target audio formats is quite ample, including MP3, OGG, WAV, ACC, MPEG-4, WMA and FLAC.
The program has a nice and intuitive multi-language interface, with a layout similar to those of other converters. Its support of modern hardware allows it to process batches of files quickly and accurately. The clips can be previewed and while you do that, you can take snapshots of your favorite frames. Additionally, you can trim a specific segment to convert. Choosing an output format is as easy as selecting one of the built-in conversion profiles. However, if none of these profiles meets your needs, you can customize the conversion parameters. Unfortunately, I did not find a way to save these newly created profiles for later use. Another limitation in this respect is that you cannot assign individual conversion profiles. Instead, all the items on the list you create will be converted to the same format.
All in all, Aura Video to Audio Converter does everything it is expected to. Its main limitation is the result of its supporting only audio formats as output. Therefore, if you wish to convert to a wider range of formats, you should look elsewhere.
